Amy Butler loves Linsay!
So, as some of you know, I emailed the Amy Butler company about my quilt. Since I had used most of her fabrics for my quilt, I thought that the company would like to see what people are doing with their product. Well, Amy wrote me back! This is what she said,
Dear Lindsay,
I just wanted to write and say a long over due " hello "! and
Thank you for your note. I really enjoyed reading it!
And thank's so much for sending these pics of your
gorgeous quilt! I love the print combinations that you
put together. This is truly impressive.
I really appreciate you taking the time to send these
to me. I'd love to share them in my up coming seamstress
gallery. Would that be ok with you?
Please keep me posted on all your creations!
Happy Sewing and Warmest Wishes,
Amy

I'd be so happy to have my quilt (or at least the photos) in a show! I'm also flattered that she was impressed with my fabric selection. That's all!

Lack of sewing
I have been so bad about sewing lately. I blame this on Harry Potter. I did hem some of Michael's pants which counts as a "sewing activity", but I'm not going to post a picture of his pants. I spent all weekend reading Harry Potter , which I don't regret at all. So my vow is to make August a more productive sewing month -- I want to finish this quilt for Michael so I can start on other projects.
I did go to the quilting store on Friday and it was so nice. They know me there and are always (or so they act) excited when I come in -- which makes me feel good. Quilting people are a nice bunch (except for some that Carla quilts with.) New York quilters are nice...Batavia quilters I'm not so sure.
Here are some of my favorite new fabrics:
Not all in the same quilt. These are all from the Amy Butler "Belle" collection. I love Amy Butler fabric. I want my next quilt to be really bold.
Thats all for today,
Linsay

New Rule
Okay,
I've made up a new rule for myself.
NO MORE NEW FABRIC until I finish at least two of my working projects. My dresser is full & I've even overflowed into a laundry basket. The fabric piles are taking over my house!!! This is going to be a hard rule for me to follow.

Quilter's ADD
I officially have 7 quilts in the works... I think I need to start concentrating on ONE project at a time. Maybe that doesn't work for me, though. I get bored with one, so I move to another.
We shipped our camera out to get repaired, so I don't have any recent pictures. Here are some oldies but goodies.
