Ok -- so showing quilting in pictures is not very effective. I have done my best here. I have quilted two panels on the quilt this way. I don't really know what you would call it. It looks really interesting in person. You get the idea, though. I am doing all the purple panels this way. I do know know what I will do with the green panels. I will keep you posted though!

Your quilting looks beautiful! Nice work! That's going to take a loooong time to do the whole thing- hope you have a nice comfy chair... Oh no! Are we close to getting "quilting butt?" Or did we decide that quilting butt's better than knitting butt?
I've been going to spinning class and pilates regularly to counter the "sewing butt." I think "sewing butts" are large, but not as large as the typical "knitting butt." I'm actually completing a panel each day. I'm working on the third purple panel. I haven't decided what I will quilt on the green panels. So, its not taking me too long. I should have it done pretty soon (as in the next two weeks).
How is the quilting coming? I haven't added anything lately- I'm mostly working on "tops," until I get my quilting class under my belt. I think that's a wise idea. Then I can concentrate on practicing my newly-found quilting skills...
